Mileage Contest

The Sweat HOG summer Mileage contest officially began at the April 2008 chapter meeting. It will continue until the October 2008 chapter meeting. To participate, members must have their beginning mileage recorded by an officer, or Road Captain anytime before the October meeting. Your ending mileage must also be recorded by an officer or Road Captain on, or before the October chapter meeting. Both beginning and ending mileage must be officially recorded to be eligible for prizes or patches. A digital photo of your odometer mailed to an officer is also acceptable.

We will have both a women’s and men’s category. The rider in each category that records the most miles will win a $100 gift certificate at Dillon Brothers H-D. Second place is a $75 gift certificate, and 3rd place is a $50 certificate. Patches will be awarded to all riders and their passengers (one passenger per rider, please) who record both starting and ending mileage.

NEW Detail added below...

Our mileage contest for both the winter and summer has been expanded for additional chances to win!

Here are the details:

There will still be a Men's and Women's categories for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners. After we have the 3 top winners in both categories we will then have a drawing of 6 names to each win a $25 gift card to Dillon's.

Eligibility for the drawing is as follows:
Your name will go into a bucket for the drawing for every 1,000 miles you ride in the summer (and for every 500 miles you ride in the winter).
Summer Example: If you logged 3,157 miles for the summer mileage
contest, you would be eligible for 3 opportunities (your name in the bucket 3x) to be chosen in the drawing.
Winter Example: If you logged 1,752 miles for the winter mileage contest, you would be eligible for 3 opportunities (your name in the bucket 3x) to be chosen in the drawing.

*Please note that the top 3 winners in each category are not eligible for the drawing. This drawing is to award everyone else who participated for their part in making the contest such a success/challenge for the winners.

If you have any questions regarding the contests please e-mail the Head Road Captain, Cathy Welchert.
